On the road!

After 18+ months of preparation, we’re off! Our four coaches and four vans are headed for the Channel, ready to head over into France. Once we hit France, the advance party in the vans will hot foot it through France, while the coaches will head through Belgium and Germany, into Switzerland - the coaches are aiming to arrive at Kandersteg early to mid afternoon on Saturday.

There are 200 of us as part of the Contingent - all the passports are checked, the bags are on the coaches and what feels like the entirety of the stores have been loaded into the vans. Final kit packages are being handed out, union flag badges are being sewn onto shirts - it’s all come together, nicely!
