Happy New Year! We hope you had a restful break, and are as excited as we are for Kandersteg ’24… In under 200 days, we’ll be in Kandersteg, and preparations are in full flow, with things being discussed almost daily to make sure that our plans fall into place, and everyone has a great time.
We’ve got a few dates for your diary – some new, and some you should already have in, but we just wanted to check! Diaries out, pens at the ready – let’s go.
24 April – Family Meeting (7pm)
Join us on Zoom ahead of the next pre-event. We’ll share updates about what we’ve been up to, and also run through the pre-event information. There’ll also be a short opportunity for questions. More info to come on this one nearer to the time.
3-5 May – Pre-event 2
We reminded you about pre-event 2 in the newsletter we sent you in December, but as it’s so important that everyone is there, we’re including the date here too.
2 July – Family Meeting
Join us in-person (location tbc), for an opportunity to meet the volunteers on the trip, and to hear about the final plans for the trip. We’ll run through what we’re doing, how certain things will work, and answer any final questions that you have.
Upcoming requests – a reminder that we’ll soon be sharing a request for you to let us know what kit you would like. In February, we’ll also be sharing initial information about the programme we’re hoping to book, and asking for preferences in relation to a few of the activities. In March, we’ll then be sharing a ‘permission to travel’ request form, which we’ll require to be signed by anyone with parental responsibility – this’ll come through the portal. The ‘permission to travel’ will outline that we have parental permission to take your young person on this trip.
